Philosophy:

Look at this site in current form.

It is just basic text at this stage--mostly because it's been some time since I've built websites with JS and CSS (focusing instead on an aerospace role and now on doing low-level systems study and coding).

I do know how to use off-the-shelf tools to rapidly put aesthetically pleasing sites online: Docker, Wordpress, what have you.

But instead, this site as-is, is me throwing text based pages online--half to just get the SEO process started, and half for choosing to go in a certian direction for simplicity and security:

• a homebrew configuration of a web serve on an obscure--some say, "elite", and notoriously spartan operating system that is built for "correctness" and security over being user-friendly;


• choosing "simple" > "easy": that is, complex things often are MADE complex, in order to package them in a form that to end-users (whether someone watching a stream, or a developer making websites) to be "easy"
  
  --but the complexity undermines security. Easy things are often complex and insecure. I could have beautiful pages up and advertising and marketing within hours by using more common choices of systems--but then they would be...MORE* insecure. *("Web" tech tends to be insecure by design.)

"Deviant" or "unusual" thinking like this allows me to

• setup highly efficiency services and solutions--far, far more than those who go with "business as usual;


• learn and deploy systems that enable unusual services: such as receiving and sanitizing email communications intended for you;


• building alternatives that are even better and cheaper in the future:
  
  we're working on how to simplify *and* make-easy certain tech that would allow our customers to get service benefits with little or no manual intervention by us, but "first get revenue and do the work manually while doing the R&D to automate for them!

So we're going with...simple but hard. Simple, so...understandable, and subject to being "correct": thus, securable.
